I'm so excited! This afternoon at 1:30 I heard my first of the season Eastern Wood Peewee! I love these little birds of summer! Their call is so "cute". I have never seen him/her but hear it all the time in the upper canopy of the woods behind my home.

Also, since May 10th I have hear a very large cricket just after dark chirping away in the field next to my house. A little early perhaps but a sure sign of the warmer temps that have arrives. It is still cool at night, mid to upper 40's but he is sounding strong as ever!
