This is the first year I am serious about attracting birds to my yard. Wild bird and hummingbird feeders have been filled since the end of March. I have wild birds galore, but until today not one hummingbird. Around 1330 I was sitting on the patio and for about 10 seconds I was mesmerized by a female ruby-throated hummer at the feeder.
