HOT! 86 Degrees and Sunny so I have been doing lots of labs with my students outdoors. Last week we were asked by the city to remeasure the depth of the two ponds 4 blocks from the junior high. We have been worried about the silt and sediment being deposited by Little Casino creek as it flows into the ponds. But I was able to get all my students in canoes so they could all paddle around and take turns participating in measuring depths. It was a good adventure to the 97 students many of whom have never been in a canoe before.
