At 8:00AM this morning, our first sighting of a Ruby Throated male! As many of the hummer keeners around this area, I have had the feeders up since end of March, when we had a tease of very warm weather. I thought they would be early but they arrived on exactly the same date as last year! A female also showed up this morning. All morning, they have been ignoring the feeders and feasting off the yellow blossoms of the flowering Russian Pea tree. Welcome back my friends!!!
