The first larva I have seen in the "wild" this year. It was on a roadside milkweed on Champaign County Road 2500N, between Roads 200E and 250E. Looks as though it is probably the third instar and is feeding at the top of the plant. I have been collecting eggs and raising young ones since the roadside is subject to mowing.
