We have had Hummingbirds for five years now, but never one with a "white crown". After a bit of research I came across a photo of a banding done with whiteout. Being that I was unable to find a photo of a species that had this marking, I have to assume that this little guy is one of these "banded" birds. Although a bit concerned at the chemical part of the white out, I am sure the banders have the best interest in mind for these birds. I appreciate the care taken in tracking these beautiful creatures. Thank you for this opportunity to participate!
