I found a total of 44 eggs on 23 young A. syriaca plants in about 40 minutes near Lake Ontario where a week ago I had seen adults flying but virtually no milkweed above ground. The milkweed averaged about 6 inches tall. Most plants had multiple eggs (average of 2 per plant). This is the earliest date (by 10 days) at which I have found eggs.
