Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/18/2012

Number: 1

Hooray!! The Monarchs are back! First sighting of a lone butterfly heading across an urban field of grass. We are having an early and unseasonably warm spring here in Minneapolis so the blazing star liatris and milkweed got a head start. If the summer is dry it will be important to ensure there is water and shade protection for our little darlings! Signing off from an urban boulevard garden on a busy street in south Minneapolis! pm
