Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/24/2012

Number: 1

Monarch sightings are a rare event around here. I didn't see any last year and only a few in the 12 years that I've been here. Today while I was walking with my dogs I saw at least 20 in the hour that I was out. They were all very busy searching for food. but I did manage to get close enough to a few to positively identify them. The wild flowers are just starting to bloom. There will be more than enough to keep them happy in a few days.
