Monarchs Abundant - Sault Ste Marie, Ontario

What is happening this year with the monarchs? Any guesses on the swallowtails?
I am seeing tons of monarchs and swallowtails gradually increasing in numbers until today the lilac is full of many types of butterflies.
I also attached 2 photos for confirmation of identification, if you don’t mind.
