Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/30/2012

Number: 1

Imagine my surprise when checking on milkweed growth to find the first eggs of the season. 7 in all on both common and swamp milkweed cleverly hidden on flower buds nowhere near opening. This is the earliest I've ever found them. June 12 was the earliest before today. Monarchologists - check your plants!
