I have been observing a couple of hummingbirds that came to my feeder since mid May. I have never seen this type of hummingbird in our region. Usually we get Anna's Hummingbirds. This hummingbird is greyish with a bright red neck. The redness is very bright and is all around the neck area. When I mentioned it to my friend, she said it was impossible, since the red-throated hummingbird lives in the east coast. I am trying to take a picture when they're feeding, but they are shy and fly off if I make any attempt to go near the window. Could it be possible? Did they just got lost and ended up in California?
