This evening I had one of my local Eagles sitting in a tree next to my house waiting for it's mate to show up. When the mate came flying up the river canyon, the mate I was watching then took off and followed it over the lake and around the corner to it's nest. They have a young one in the nest at this time and it is being monitored by plane once a week by the local Fish, Wildlife and Parks department. Due to the baby in the nest, a major highway improvement project along the lake is delayed till the baby leaves the nest. How cool is that!!!
