Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 06/08/2012

Number: 1

Still seeing 1-3 monarch butterflies in my yard throughout the day. Lots of monarch cterpillars on my abundant milkweed. Havn't seen any OE. I trimmed my old plants back and allowed over 50 new seedlings to grow where they self sowed. Many of these are large now and flowering. The caterpillars like the fresh new leaves.

On my wax myrtle trees I have several polyphemus silk moth cocoons. I have lots of hackberry emperors and tawney emperors which I give fruit.
