Quick update on conditions here. I am finding a lot of dead caterpillars this year, moreso than is normal, I think. With the tremendous number of eggs laid, I was hopeful of lots of fully developed caterpillars and lots of pupae by this time. Maybe the successful ones are too well hidden; hope so. In two weeks, we'll see if there are few or many Monarchs. Right now, I'm worried that predators and/or diseases are taking a huge toll.
Comments concerning observations to verify or refute this in Wisconsin or Minnesota would be welcome..........
