First monarchs sighted the weekend of May 19/20. Here are related observations:

May 17 - Lilac blooms just coming out

May 18 - Luna Moth

May 19/20 long weekend - saw five kinds of butterflies on lilac trees, including Monarchs, but no photographs taken at that time.

May  23 - Swallowtail on Lilac tree

May 25 - Monarchs, including the four together on the Lilac tree. See photo.
