I spotted one monarch in my backyard flying over wild rose bushes and other herbs. The milkweed at that point was only about a foot tall. I saw a single monarch again on June 12 in the backyard. The morning of June 15 I saw one monarch perched on a small comfrey plant next to a small milkweed plant. It appeared to be taking shelter from the rain.
