Good morning fellow birders:Warm,humid,cloudy,windy,79*DP66*. Well, what strange weather we've had.All my bush salvia survived,also seeded out all over the place.Have hummers since first of May.Right now,2 males and 2 females.Have seen: H.-CH. sparrows,Robins,Grackles,Cardinals,Orioles,M.doves,B.swallows,Nuthatches,Downeys.Red bellies,Martins,Waxwings,Y.warbles,H.wrens and 1 summer tanager!As to my habitat,I put in 4 blueberries,1 R.T. Dogwood,and am growing Birdhouse gourds.Many long needle pines are dieing here.My mom lives in Bellevue and her knockout roses were covered with those nasty copper beetles.I think she will have to cut them back hard and hope they survive.Stood and watched Catbirds in the thicket this morning ,their not as shy as most people think.Forgot ,also Chick-a-dees,Crowes,N.flickers,Jays,H.finches.I won't the flying(starling)rats.Hope you have a big bang 4th of July.
