Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/18/2012

Number: 1

Alexa Carleton and I briefly observed an adult monarch near Joseph Creek in Asotin County, Washington on May 18, 2012. Shortly after we confirmed that it was a monarch, it flew over a large patch of blackberries and disappeared. We were not able to get a photo or to determine whether it was male or female.
