All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 06/28/2012

Number: 1

I observed 4 Pileated Woodpeckers on my neighbor's dying Oak tree. It appeared to be and adult male, an adult female, and 2 juveniles. They were calling and eating insects from the tree. It was awesome! I also noticed a young Red-Bellied (a regular resident) eating with them and not bothered by the presence of his much larger cousins.
