Very, very early this year! By about a month or so. We call him the Great Orange Greenie as he guards the feeders from his perch, keeping the other greenies from feeding. He chases them off. He makes himself at home on an orange colored dead branch attached to the pine tree in front of the feeders. I think he thinks he is "camoflauged" on the orange branch. We do not trim this branch from the tree as he returns to it yearly. We normally see this hummingbird in late August. Are we seeing him early due to global warming? Just curious.
