Hummingbird, Other Species Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 07/21/2012

Number: 1

As at most of the seasons of the year, the garden is abuzz with hummingbirds. It looks though as if most of the rufous have left us for sunny mountain meadows. But a few females and immature males are hanging on. After the male rufous left, the female Anna's returned in force, bringing their offspring with them (the male Anna's never left). We're hoping they'll stay with us through autumn and winter, as they have done in previous years––I'll keep the feeders filled.
