Here's a 7 minute video I shot this morning (7-27-12) of the three large fields of fascicularis milkweed located around 15-30 miles east of downtown Sacramento where I saw no monarchs. The video takes you right into the milkweed fields to give you an appreciation of their size and how disturbing and puzzling it is to see no monarchs in such an ideal habitat situation at the time of the year (end of July) when they are normally the most abundant.
