Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 08/10/2012

Number: 1

Released 42 after seeing the first egg and monarch on May 6th. Have experienced many tachnid fly problems and possible spore problems with deformed butterflies. Today we had four healthy monarchs hatch and first since end of June. One female in particular seems larger than the rest. It has been a difficult month plus without releasing any. It is 57 degrees tonight so we will release in the morning. Hope the rest are healthy and make the journey south.
