First year I have grown milkweed and have started seedlings and have one plant seeding now. I have 2 different milkweed species in pots. I am going to have to buy more milkweed as I have many caterpillars and they are stripping the plants. Have had no chrysalis sightings as of yet. I will put some wood around the pots as my sister has been raising Monarchs in her yard in Carlsbad for years ad suggested I to that.I have had as man'y as 2 butterflies at a time laying their legs on the leaves.I have given seeds to friends and scattered them throughout my yard and transplanted seedlings as well.Hope to have lots of milkweed and butterflies next year.
