Signs of Fall

Date: 08/15/2012

Number: 1

The mornings are quiet and silent now that most of the songbirds have begun to migrate. No signs of any red wing blackbirds since the last week of July! Also haven't seen or heard any oven birds, warblers, flycatchers, mockers, grosbeaks, woodpeewees, or thrushes for a few weeks either. I'm still hearing a towhee in the evenings. The chickadees have come back from the woods now, so I have mostly chickadees, nuthatches, a few goldfinches, woodpeckers and juncos at my feeders.
