for the last five years I thought there was only one hummingbird that visited my backyard. I have been using perky pets ready to use nectar but I read that the coloring wasn't good for the birds so today I made some homemade 1 part sugar and 4 parts water (3oz. of sugar and 12oz. water) and there were 3 birds! I can't tell if it's 1 or more species but they sure are tiny and beautiful and I just want to take good care of them for as long as they are here.
