It seemed a slow start to the butterfly activity this year. Only recently did I find caterpillars, in all stages of growth. This past week, I have found 12 chrysalis, with 4 of them hatching yesterday and today. Now there is an abundance of fluttering around the yard. Sometimes as many as a dozen at one time. My Milkweed is somewhat sparse as the caterpillars are voracious.
