One lone Monarch fluttering around our butterfly bush. This year was the worst ever in Atco for Monarch sightings. I counted 2 adults all summer. My milkweed went untouched and to waste. We had a dozen or more adult Monarchs and 17 caterpillars on our milkweed last year. This concerns me. We just returned from Luray Virginia and I saw all of one Monarch the entire week in all the surrounding towns up to 60 miles away from our cabin.
