Sightings in my Cypress, TX yard began on July 4. Spotty sightings until August 5. Near daily brief sightings of single young individuals. Most appear young with crown feathers not fully developed.
Mature Male Rubythroats spotted on 08/07/12 and 08/19/12.

08/19/12: 1 mature male rubythroat, 1 young male with spots on throat, 1 young, unidentified sex. These birds were frequent visitors today, so I finally hung a feeder. They had been feeding on red salvia, turks cap, and milkweed.
