I have finally seen several monarchs in the garden for the past couple of weeks. Yesterday (8/19/12), I counted about 12. Before that, in July there were 1 or 2. I saw 2 caterpillars last week and another yesterday (8/19/12). Yesterday, I saw maybe 5 or 6 eggs. I'm disappointed I haven't seen more. I have many healthy milkweeds in several spots in the yard and garden, so it seems I should have more monarchs than I have been seeing. My garden is a Monarch Watch-certified waystation; I have many nectar plants. I live on the Connecticut shoreline, so maybe I am out of their usual migration path and that's why I don't attract more. Of course, I am grateful that a few have found my garden and hope that more will come in the future. Sandra Ianello
