Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/21/2012

Number: 1

Saw and held my first monarch of the migration south this morning at 7:10 am. We have about 61 degrees F and sunshine. Of course after I held him and blessed him he flew up into a tree. My sister who lives in Monroe, LA, about 90 miles south of me, has been seeing them for about two weeks. Just a single one every now and then. Do you expect an earlier migration due to weather this year? Hard to believe it is almost time for them to make their long journey for the winter. Seems to have been such a short year.
