Single Monarch emerged from chrysalis this morning. Observed and then released.

I found a caterpillar happily munching on butterfly weed plant on my back deck, then discovered the chrysalis and wanted to observe the butterfly's development. I was disappointed that he emerged shortly after I left for work.
