Last winter's 2nd largest California overwintering site

This wintering site is known as Pismo Beach (North Beach Camp Ground). It was the 2nd largest site last winter. It was one of only five sites with more than 10,000 monarchs.


Last winter's count (2011/2012): 18,000 monarchs

Previous winter's count (2010/2011): 21,286 monarchs
