A single monarch flying and nectaring on clover, as we were monitoring and weeding a pollinator habitat planting on a pear and apple orchard. I wasn't able to observe whether it was a male or female. There were Asclepias fascicularis (ASFA) plants on the farm, and while we did not thoroughly check them for monarch eggs, there definitely were no larvae on them. We also checked some other ASFA stands in the vicinity and didn't observe any larvae.
