Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/22/2012

Number: 5

just released our first TAGGED male monarch this afternoon - warm day- blue sky.. he didn't stay to say goodbye- heading south towards the big pond. yesterday we released the second female tagged nmonarch of the year - same place!! The farm is looking pretty good considering how dry it has been. had some rain last week and the grass started to green up again. paul harvested some of the potatoes (not much to find in the rows cuz it was so dry) and we are making blueberry jam here at the farm this week...mmmm... fall is in the air at night - down to +10 to 13 but still hot enough in the daytime +25C. finding lots of evidence of 'chews' on the milkweed and seeing lots of eggs and small cats.
