Invited a fifth instar into our home nearly two weeks ago (after noticing it on my tallest milkweed out the front door) and discovered the emergence of a fresh adult female on Sunday (8/19)! My daughter took her outside late in the afternoon and she happily took to the air heading south. We have had beautifully cool weather in the 60s and 70s with low dew points during the middle of August. Hope this early migrant makes it all the way to Mexico!
