Iam now sure that I have a male Anna's hummingbird amongst the many ruby-throated hummers coming to my feeder and flowers in my yard.I noticed he was different a few weeks ago and have been trying to look at him closely with binoculars.I went to the Cornell ornithology website to decide which hummer type he actually resembles. He has a black head but throat appears pinkish copper in sunlight.Body is greyish and back is greenish.white spot behind eye.Since this is a west coast hummer isn't this a rare sighting?I have been trying to get a picture of him but have not yet.
