Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 08/24/2012

Number: 1

Four students at Immaculate Conception School in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Tatum, Mary Kate, Remi and Sophia, found a very small monarch caterpillar on the milkweed in our schoolyard habitat. It was so tiny, that we needed a magnifying glass to be sure that it was a Monarch caterpillar. We will keep it in our classroom to observe its entire lifecycle.
