I have 3 ruby throated hummers who all have different feeding behaviors. One, an adult female who is visiting for a second summer, only hovers as she feeds. A young of the year sits and looks around and still has some pin feathers around its neck and face. The third takes long drinks and looks up with a long clean neck.
