Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/30/2012

Number: 6

The hummingbirds are very active and extremely aggressive. Lots of spats, zipping sounds and crowding each other off the feeder. They empty both of our feeders in about 2 days time. Our clothesline west of the feeder usually has a hummingbird perched on it. Our blue spruce east of the feeder often hosts 5 to 6 of them sitting on the branch tiers. Our trumpet vine is busy with them most of the day. No sign of migration plans so far.
