Numerous males and females fighting over the feeders and the Blue Lobelia and Cardinal Flower blooms. There were at least 6 different individuals. While eating my lunch on the deck the other day, one guy was working over some Cardinal flower and then headed directly for the feeder a dozen feet to right of me. Suddenly he stopped, turned and flew to about six inches of my face, checking me out. After a few seconds he decided food was better than curiosity and resumed his flight to the feeder.
