At about 9:00 a m this morning I had a male ruby throat come to one of the two feeders I still have up. He hovered near the feeder but then flew away. This makes me think he was not one of my regulars who have been coming every day but a new one coming from further north and just stopping by on his way south. I will leave my feeders up (with fresh syrup changed every three days) for at least another two weeks.
