Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/31/2012

Number: 20

They flit and fly so fast it's hard to accurately count. They are all over my large stand of Joe Pye Weed and also on my Seven Son Tree (Heptacodium Miconoides). The tree usually blooms after they migrate through my part of NH so this is most interesting to see that they feed on the small cream-colored blossoms that cover the tree. It's blooming almost a month early this year.
