Sightings report image

Date: 08/29/2012

Number: 3

I have had a male and female Rubythroat for a couple of weeks, taking the place of the Blackchins I have all summer. This week I spotted either a Rufous or Allen's. I have shown pictures to experts but they are unsure. It is definately a juvenile, but I am told the tail needs to be completely spread to distinguish between these two species. I have seen it daily for the last 4 days.
