Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/03/2012

Number: 8

Sunday morning was the most hummingbirds I have ever seen together in my yard at one time. They start eating at 6:30 am, even if it is cloudy and not very light out. Feed heaviest at 6:30 am and pm. Starting to try many differant flowers now as well as feeders. Lots of kids. Some may be country birds and never visited a garden before. Some did not seem familiar with some of the flowers or with the feeders. I use several kinds of feeders and include tropical flowers so when they get where they are going they will recognize food right away.
