Hummingbird Sighting (Adult Male)

Date: 09/03/2012

Number: 35

I still have an unbelievable amount of hummers. Never have I ever seen so many before (at the same time) since I started feeding them (5-6 yrs). I can only estimate 30-40 maybe even 50 hummers and they seem to be evenly split between male and female (Rubythroats)with lots of juveniles too. All 5 feeders are busy all day. Some females must have nests nearby as they are "allowed" to feed freely by the males that claim a certain feeder, but other females get run off immediately. .....So much fun to watch!!!!!
