Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/01/2012

Number: 1

We have had 20-30 ruby throats for a while and after Isaac the numbers picked up. However, we saw a new bird and we think it is an immature rufous. We were able to observe him through good binoculars. His coloring was what got our attention, because he was not green. We saw him on Sept. 1 and 2, but not today. He held his own at the feeder, but was very flighty.
