My husband & I have been seeing 1 hummingbird, we think it's the same one, regularly. It's either a juvenile or female, no ruby throat seen. It nectars on our Lady-in-Red Salvia in the front yard, moves to tropical milkweed and occasionally checks out the Nanho Blue & BLue Chip Butterfly Bushes before flying up & over the roof to the back yard, where it feeds on Coral Honeysuckle [Lonicera sempervirens] and trumpet vine [Campsis radicans] blooms. Then a little later it starts all over again. My neighbor keeps a hummingbird feeder out all summer & grows Petunias, so this little one has plenty of food nearby & makes the rounds, appears throughout the day.
