Migration started early here with a mini-swarm of mostly ruby-throateds in early July. A lull then until August 10th when traffic picked up. Daily swarms since for the last 6 days with male and female ruby-throated, some black-chins and more rufous than we've ever had in the 6 years we've been watching here.
Wondering if the rufous migration shifted eastward due to wildfire and drought?
